MCA-1000digi + – AN INTEGRATED RADIO DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SOLUTION WITH TRACKING OF PERSONNEL AND MEANS OF TRANSPORT FOR THE MINING INDUSTRY AND OTHER CONFINED SPACE ENVIRONMENTS

Operating on the basis of a leaky feeder cable, the MCA-1000digi + system enables voice communication between users of radios located in any place within the system’s operating range, and also provides for communication between radios users and PABX subscribers and GSM networks. The number of available independent talk channels depends on the number of repeaters installed. Working in digital mode, DMR provides connectivity without interference and noise with a very high signal dynamics.

The integrated MCA-1000digi + system makes it possible to track people and vehicles at selected points of the mining plant: at the shaft top and bottom area, along transport routes and especially in zones with limited access. Personnel tracking allows, among other things, to determine the location of a selected employee:

specifying the route, including the time of:

  • taking the cap lamp
  • going down the shaft
  • entering a zone
  • staying in a zone
  • leaving the mine plant.

TRACE-SYS – INDOOR STAFF POISTIONING BASED ON DMR RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The TRACE-SYS digital radio communication and indoor positioning system is used in protection of facilities, halls and warehouses, prisons and wherever, in addition to reliable communication, knowledge about the current location of the hand-held radio user is required. The Hytera DMR mobile radio (PD7xx series) is equipped with an option board called IRBTrace. IRBTrace receives signals (including: transponder ID number, RSSI) from radio transponders – beacons located in the facility and forwards this information to the Base Station.

Depending on the location information received, the Trace Data Manager software displays the location of all radios users on a set of site visualization boards.

Trace-Sys transponders are designed to provide simple operation without the need for additional cable infrastructure. This reduces the cost and time of system installation.

GUARD-SYS – DIGITAL VOICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR FACILITIES WITH LIMITED RADIO SIGNAL PROPAGATION

The GUARD-SYS radio communication system is used in facilities with limited propagation of radio waves, such as underground parking lots, halls and warehouses, underground floors of buildings, etc. The GUARD-SYS radio communication system provides radio communication in facilities and spaces with limited / disturbed radio wave propagation.

GUARD-SYS can function as both a basic radio communication system, and can also be used to extend an existing system with a focus on covering zones without radio reception, by providing radio coverage in blind spots.

In addition to functions related to the routine use of radio communication (e.g. by security, supervision, service personnel, etc.), GUARD-SYS can support radio systems of professional services (fire brigade, police) and technical emergency services, providing radio communication in facilities in which conventional communication methods are ineffective or unreliable.

LORKAN -A WARNING AND ALARM SOLUTION FOR EMPLOYEES WORKING IN SEWERAGE SYSTEM TUNNELS (TUNNELS, UNDERGROUND HEADINGS)

Confined space environments such as sewerage system tunnels or underground galleries are characterized by very poor propagation of electromagnetic waves, thus ensuring voice communication based on radios is very difficult and – after covering a distance of several dozen meters – even impossible. The LORKAN system enables an effective safety supervision over an employee located in sewerage system tunnel within 150 m from the manhole.

The LORKAN system enables communication between an employee working in the sewerage system tunnel and personnel staying on the surface, in the vicinity of the manhole.

SAMPLE-SYS – EQUIPMENT FOR AUTOMATIC SAMPLING OF BULK METERIAL

For many years we have been carrying out comprehensive installations of automatic sampling systems, starting from the design, through the adaptation of the installation site, to assembly and commissioning of the system. Each time our systems are delivered with a complete as-built documentation and required certificates. We provide warranty and post-warranty services for our systems, as well as the devices from other manufacturers.

Automatic coal sampling systems (sampling units) allow material to be sampled in two ways:

  • Direct sampling from the stream transported by belt conveyor. Installation requires space both above the conveyor belt and to the side; the sample is cut out during the belt movement by the cutting element, then, as required, the sample is processed, reduced, and the machining allowance returns to the loading belt.
  • Sampling from the dump. The installation is made using a “drawer” sliding out of a toothed drive or a chain drive drawer.

CAVE-SYS – RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USED IN CONFINED SPACES

The CAVE-SYS system is designed to conduct voice communication in confined space environments. The system is used in:

  • Mountain rescue – especially in caves,
  • Mining rescue,
  • Technical rescue – Professional Fire Brigade (building collapse disasters, wells, adits),
  • Industrial construction – tunnels, metro – as a portable communication system.

As well as during maintenance and servicing of:

  • Structures,
  • Constructions,
  • Underground installations.

ARGUS – PERSONNEL, VEHICLE AND ASSET TRACKING SYSTEM

ARGUS is a professional and comprehensive tracking and positioning system for personnel, vehicles and assets.

The ARGUS system not only meets the requirements for a security system confirmed by the ATEX certificate and WUG authorization, but also positively affects safety in the mine, being one of the basic systems supporting management and conducting of rescue operations in mining plants.

ARGUS is an intrinsically safe system, it has been equipped with diagnostic tools with the possibility of visualization and supervision of the system operation in the central control room.

KAJTO – AN UNDERGROUND MATERIALS LOGISTICS SYSTEM

KAJTO is a modern material transport management system used on the surface and in the underground part of mining plants. It uses battery tags (transponders) installed on carts and the infrastructure enabling data transmission to the service stations. The KAJTO system is supported in a browser on any computer station on the surface or underground and in many stations at the same time. Battery tag lifetime ranges form 4 to 8 years, depending on the operating conditions. Data transmission from / to the KAJTO system is carried out using the “Argus” or “MCA-1000digi” transmission infrastructure.

KAJTO has been developed in close cooperation with mine material logistics professionals. It provides detailed information on material transport routes and location of haulage cars. It provides for instant generation of customized reports. If required, it will find a specific load or cart filtering by definable criteria.

SEPP –GAS DETECTOR INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

SEPP is a system supporting the process of using measuring devices from the moment they are commissioned until they are withdrawn from use. It also saves full event history for each device. After equipping the handout stand with a barcode scanner, the SEPP system will register the event of handing out multiple devices just in seconds. Before handout, it will also check that formal and technical requirements for handing out a measuring device have been met.

SEPP is an excellent alternative to logging calibration results in a paper book. After the calibration procedure, all you have to do is scan the barcode of the device, the system will automatically recognize the device, the number of sensors and the types of gases. Then it will select the appropriate gas cylinder and enter its current concentration. The system will record the values indicated by the device and the name of the employee performing the test. If the results do not meet the set standards, it will not be possible to use a given measuring device. SEPP will optimize the hand out procedure, indicating which devices will have to undergo a new calibration procedure in the coming days due to the fact that they have not been used for a predefined period of time. You can easily check currently released devices that are under repair or validation. The system will show the history of devices downloaded by a selected employee and even the department.

SCS-1000digi – SHAFT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The SCS-1000digi Shaft Communication System has been designed to provide wireless voice communication for the hoist operator, cage tenders and shaft maintenance staff, enabling communication between:

  1. the hoist operator and the cage tenders at individual levels, in half-duplex mode;
  2. the cage tenders at individual levels, in half-duplex mode;
  3. the maintenance staff in the mine cage and the hoist operator, in half-duplex mode;
  4. the maintenance staff in the mine cage with the cage tenders at individual levels, in half-duplex mode

The SCS-1000digi Shaft Communication System has been designed for use in underground mines endangered by methane or coal dust explosions and has been ATEX certified, bearing the marking “Ex I M1 ia.”

FOD-900 – A MULTIPLE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

FOD-900 is a system designed to collect and send information about the technological process from the underground of the mine to the supervisory point. The system provides transmission of binary and analog slow-changing signals as well as presentation of the operating status of devices on a synoptic board and at computer workstations. The system is multi-channel, i.e. in one transmission path, which constitutes a pair in a telecommunication cable, frequencies for 30 channels have been declared. In each channel you can send information about the selected parameter of the controlled device. For example, it can be: operation or a standstill of conveyor belts, pumps, fans, shearers, closing or opening of ventilation openings, etc. The big advantage of the solution is supplying transmitters of the field part from the central unit of the system located on the surface.

FOD-900 has been implemented in many mines and, having gained the status of a basic system for transmission of information about the technological process, has been successfully used and developed to this day.
